Born in Chicago, USA, surrounded by Hip hop, Chicago House, funk, soul and dancehall, Serpico’s style is best described as eclectic, versatile and well rounded. In the beginning being surrounded by Bboys and graffiti artists led him to throwing house parties in the 6th grade, and it was quickly noticed that he was born with music pumping through his veins. Soon thereafter, Serpico the DJ was born. Spending four years perfecting his craft, traveling through Utah, Louisiana and Pittsburgh, where he also held down the prime time Friday night slot on 92.1 WPTS, one of Pittsburgh’s most listened to radio stations, it was time for Serpico to make his way back home and show Chicago the skills and eclectic ear for music he’d acquired from DJing across America.

Serpico returned home and didn’t hesitate to make his presence felt. His aggressive style of mixing and cutting, combined with his versatile track selections, which always seemed to take the already frenzied crowd to THE NEXT level, made Serpico “THE DJ” to look out for. Famed hip hop MC, J-Live was so blown away by what he witnessed in Serpico, that he asked him to DJ for him during his live show. Serpico also DJ’d and toured with Rhymesayers recording artist Longshot, as well as collaborating on the highly praised mixtape “The Future of the Chi.” Serpico’s in depth knowledge of so many genres of music have led him to share the stage with everybody from Grammy winners the Roots, who are also the house band for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Billboard chart toppers and 3 time MTV VMA winners Gym Class Heroes, Prince Paul – one of the most respected producers in hip hop, hip hop legends Black Sheep, and even the King of Chicago House – Farley Jackmaster Funk aka Farley Keith and ultimate house icon Cajmere, amongst too many more to mention, any one of which, any dj would kill to have their name mentioned in the same breath.

Within a week of landing in Taipei, Serpico secured residencies at the most prestigious establishments in the country, Opus, Marquee and Club Primo, which caters to the most elite party goers and celebrities. In Asia only 6 months, word of Serpico’s skills have quickly spread across the region, leading him to spin at Play Club in Hong Kong, where Craig David was the only other artist invited to perform. In his short time abroad, Serpico has already played for several Nike events, including the official launch of the Lebron James movie and shoes in Taiwan and the Nike TPE 6453 one year anniversary party, and is now one of two official NIKE TAIWAN djs. He also was the DJ for the Taiwan launch of FASHION ONE, the global television fashion network. Always sought out to raise the bar when guest artists are in town, he has shared the stage with mixtape legend Mick Boogie at Club Luxy, hip hop producer and DJ extraordinaire Clark Kent, Ultra Records recording artist David Berrie, as well as being hand selected to keep the dance floors moving for special occasions like Coco Lee’s official concert after party and many celebrity birthday parties. Serpico’s reputation of consistently rockin’ parties like none other has made waves large enough to have allowed him to establish a client list of companies such as Ed Hardy, Heineken, Havainas and Nokia Siemens. As if he wasn’t busy enough, Serpico is taking the music scene in Taiwan into his own hands as an integral part of one2 Strong Entertainment Group, whose launch party was done in conjunction with Hennessy and Hennessy Artistry, and whose other events draws in guests like 7-time NBA World Champion, Robert Horry. In addition to his work with one2 Strong, he is a co-founder of Diamonds (the renown f.bar party in Tokyo,) in Taipei.  Serpico has recently been awarded the position for the official DJ of  DaXIMEN (2010 Golden Melody winner of Album Of the Year).

Serpico’s versatility in playing a wide range of music including hip hop, house, rock, funk, soul, dancehall, electro and dance music into his sets, and his reputation of consistently making crowds lose their minds with his clean, aggressive, well-rounded style, is quickly letting Asia know what the U.S. has long been able to testify to…Serpico is a dj’s dj, a master crowd controller, a game changer and always, always, a PARTY ROCKER!!!
